Dearest Smash Sporting Club Member;

It is with delight that I’m addressing you with a new year approaching us; we genuinely hope our community of SSC Members, Players and Staff are safe and in good health in the midst of the ongoing global pandemic.

We would like to personally thank our members and community for obliging to our vaccination campaigns, and we urge all members to get vaccinated to ensure a COVID free environment inside SSC. In the meantime, 75% of our staff are vaccinated to maintain the safest atmosphere for our community.

This year has been both challenging and prosperous for us; from hosting international sports events in Tennis and Squash amidst the pandemic, to having one of our players crowned Africa’s Tennis Champion, to managing to throw large scale social events such as SSC Swimming Festival and Sitara Theatre Event, this year has seen considerable achievements and festivities from our side to our community.

Considering our events and activities for the past year, we are honored to have hosted a number of national and international Tennis tournaments on our courts, including The Davis Cup and The African Junior Cup, welcoming more than 120 international players on our premises. Additionally, we are thrilled to have hosted our first international Squash Tournament in our new Squash Complex which is managed by Basem Makram, and operates under the auspices of the National Federation. Moreover, we are delighted to announce that our Swimming Academy is now registered in the National Federation, and our new Gymnastics Aerobics Academy will be registered soon.

Our social events were met with pure joy from our members, including our SSC Swimming Festival, Sitara Theater Event, SSC Funday, and our Christmas Festival, bringing our members distinguished social activities all year long.

To facilitate a more well-rounded and enjoyable experience and to cater to every taste, we are thrilled to have launched a new authentic Lebanese Restaurant by Chef Azad, in addition to launching a new food court in the New Extension comprising of 7 different new outlets with various cuisines, making our New Extension a fully-fledged operating space.

Highlighting more on our milestones of the year, we are delighted to announce Suez Canal Bank opening in our New Extension, providing tailored products and services specially for SSC Members, and operating all week long from 11AM till 8PM. Additionally, we have deployed a new version of our SSC Mobile Application for a more enhanced user experience, as well as a new website. Moreover, we have launched a new SSC Fitness Center application made specially for SSC Fitness Center Gym and Aerobics members for booking facilitation. Finally, we have curated a customer service desk for members only in the New Extension. Concerning our facilities, two new Padel Tennis Courts have been launched by JPadel for our members’ enjoyment, in addition to a spacious new parking by the new extension to accommodate our members.

On a delighted note, we are honored to announce that our Tennis player Ahmed Yasser has proudly been named Africa’s Tennis Champion in the African Tennis Tournament held in Tunis. Additionally, 6 of our best Tennis players have achieved Tennis Scholarships to various USA universities this year due to their Tennis ranking. Moreover, we have seen considerable achievements in all our sports academies; Swimming, Squash, Football, Triathlon and Gymnastics.

Our excitement for the upcoming year is uncontained, where we shall be celebrating our Silver Anniversary of operating for 25 years. We also plan on increasing our events and improving our services for the ultimate sporting club experience, in addition to preparing for the launch of phase 2 of the new extension, which will contain state of the art facilities and more spacious areas for our community.
